Milk decoration magazine in English number 27

design, fashion, exhibitions, new venues, spotlight on the season’s inspirational and comforting news

MilK Decoration’s rst issue for 2019 ushers in a new cover design and a new format. Inside we pay tribute to those designers, a new wave of creative professionals characterised by their audacious styles and ability to make radical choices, who aren’t afraid to revisit the styles of the past and use them to create new designs and a new stylistic vocabulary.

The cover features Gesa Hansen, a designer who reserved us the exclusivity of her new furniture collection, a series of organic pieces with simple forms that stand out by their use of wood turning techniques. With this collection, Gesa Hansen breaks free from the constraints of Scandinavian design and writes the rst page of a whole new adventure.

Elsewhere in what is a tour de force for Roche Bobois, the French furniture company joins forces with Raphael Navot for the multi-disciplinary designer’s rst line of furniture; timeless and yet resolutely modern pieces that are a welcome addition to its catalogue.

In Guatemala, Estefanía de Ros and Gustavo Quintana (aka Agnes studio) are revisiting the symbols of pre-Columbian civilisations.Their objects that combine primitive materials and futuristic lines provide the proof that they are amongst the most talented emerging designers on the Latin American scene.
